Cutting Directions

From the Tranquility Basket Panel 1:
Cut on the dotted black line and trim ONE basket block to 16-1/2” square.

From the background fabric, cut:
(30) 2-1/2” x 10-1/2” rectangles
(4) 2-1/2” x 8-1/2” rectangles
(144) 2-1/2” x 4-1/2” rectangles
(616) 2-1/2” squares

From EACH of (36) assorted print squares, cut:
(8) 2-1/2” x 4-1/2” rectangles

From the navy and white print fabric, cut:
(212) 1-1/2” squares

Outer Border
Prior to cutting, measure the center of the quilt vertically and horizontally to determine the lengths of the outer border strips. It may be necessary to make adjustments to the measurements below:

From the navy floral outer border print fabric, cut and piece:
(2) 6-1/2” x 84-1/2” strips for the sides of the quilt
(2) 6-1/2” x 66-1/2” strips for the top and bottom of the quilt

From the binding, cut:
(9) 2-1/2” x width of fabric (WOF) strips

Pieced Rectangle and Basket Block Construction

Following Step 4 on Page 8, make:
(4) 2-1/2” x 8-1/2” pieced rectangles for the sides of the basket block.
(4) 2-1/2” x 10-1/2” pieced rectangles for the top and bottom of the basket block

Following Step 7 on Page 10 for the construction concept, sew:
(2) 2-1/2” x 8-1/2” pieced rectangles end to end, joining the navy triangles. Make (2). Sew them to the sides of the basket-panel square.

(2) 2-1/2” x 10-1/2” pieced rectangles end to end, joining 2 navy triangles. Make (2). Sew them to the top and bottom of the basket-panel square.

Outer Border

Sew the 6-1/2” x 84-1/2” pieced outer border strips to the sides of the quilt.
Sew the 6-1/2” x 66-1/2” pieced outer border strips to the top and bottom of the quilt.
