Perfectly Paired Indeed!

Posted by Gerri Robinson on

Intrigued by the title?  Perfectly Paired means so many things to me . . . .

Perfectly Paired to have one of my quilts featured in the December 2020 issue of American Patchwork and Quilting?

YES!!!  Its always an honor to be featured in a magazine; especially APQ!!

Thank you Jody for saying yes to my submission!

Blue and yellow / navy and gold (tomato / tomato) - there's no two colors Perfectly Paired than blue and yellow, wouldn't you agree!?

I'm sure that was the thought process of the APQ editorial staff as they contemplated a name change to my originally submitted quilt name which by the way, I gave them total editorial liberty to change the name as they felt fit.  And I think its absolutely Perfect(ly Paired)!

Perfectly Paired to be featured in the SAME magazine as my long arm quilter, Penny Barnes (@pbandjquiltstudio) with her quilt, Plaid on Point!

Penny was working on her EQ8 skills and created this dramatic and striking beauty!

GREAT job Penny!

  • I am currently working on this quilt. It is for our 50th Anniversary. I am making twenty-five blocks so the quilt will be 92 inches square when done. I am using gold fat quarters that were gifted to me by the quilt guild that I belong to and blues from my stash. It’s a lot of work, but I think it will be lovely when it’s all out together.

  • I think the Perfectly Paired quilt is beautiful. I clicked the link to purchase this issue of the magazine. I was expecting to be able to download or print the pattern. The link took me to a Zinnio app with no print function. I am disappointed.

  • I love the plaid on point quilt, which I found in American patchwork & Quilting magazine. I would love to know which Moda solids you used TIA

  • Congratulations on your beautiful quilt. The name is perfect.
I’m very partial to blues and yellows.
