A Heartfelt Thank You!

This blog post is for you, my loyal customers, newsletter subscribers and social media followers.
As you are aware, life got interrupted earlier this year when I was hospitalized for 12 days with Covid.
It was a period of uncertainty, uneasiness and unknowns but through it all I was calmed and at ease learning of the many prayer warriors that had engaged their teams and communities to pray for me and my recovery.
I was humbled to say the least but I want you to know I truly felt the overwhelming power that prayer has wash over me. It was comforting, encouraging and carried me when times became a bit more unpredictable.
I am a true and firm believer in prayer and positive thoughts and the impact they have on a person and/or situation. Thank you for your prayers, your thoughts, your well wishes and genuine care and concern for my recovery! Without you, I know things could have been much different.

Being a quilter and speaking to a community of quilters, I could NOT think of a better design than hearts to help convey my gratitude.
As you can see, some of the hearts are upright, some are down and the very special patchwork hearts (which represent YOU) are scattered throughout.
My dear quilting friend, Diane Merritt @storyofaquiltdesigns, sewed this beauty for me while I recovered; and Penny Barnes @pbandjquiltstudio put the "exquisite" finishing touches on with her long arm quilting skills.
Diane didn't stop with this design but was able to create an additional design from the trimmed corners from the bottom of the hearts that I'll be sharing with you next week. You will NOT be disappointed.

Thank you for the gifted design. I am glad you have recovered your health. When I sew these blocks, I will keep all those who have been struck by this disease, recovered or whose lives have been lost. I am thankful for the science and leadership/direction that is keeping me healthy as well as the health care workers who have been strained to the max to help us all.

So good to hear of your recovery. Thank you for this pattern. I have a friend who lost her husband this summer to covid and this will be a perfect continuing message of love for her.
