It's Week 3 of the RBD Block Challenge and this week's block, Framed Flower, was designed by Carina Gardner.
WOW!! Carina's Framed Flower block is blooming in true lusciousness! So pretty!
If you're new to our blog and are curious what the RBD Block Challenge is all about, head over to last week's blog post (here) and read all about it!
Head back when you're all caught up. I promise the rest of this blog post will make a whole lot more sense!
As with Pinwheel Star Block 1 (below)
and Shining Star Block 2 (below)
Oh there's many more tones and colors within each of those colors allowing you to pick and choose just the right color for you! You should give it a try!
Several of you reached out to me wanting the Materials List of all (16) blocks so you could pull a color palette of your scraps together to join in! Here you go!
And here's the link below for you to download and print off for your convenience:
Did you know the Creative Team at RBD is creating their blocks from Riley Blake Designs NEW Confetti Cotton Colors? Kind of like a little celebration announcement!
Check out the NEW colors below:
So as you're scrolling through social media and/or on Riley Blake Designs blog and see their blocks done in solids, you'll know why!
Here's a quick peek at Riley Blake Designs Blocks 1-3 using the NEW Confetti Cotton Solids!

Curious what my (3) blocks look like together? Check it out (below) and let me know what you think!
Quite a stark contrast to the ones Riley Blake Designs is creating!
Last week I forgot to mention that the LAST WEEK of every month is CATCH UP!!! Yep, NO new block will be shared allowing you time to jump in and make the (3) above blocks or if you're already sewing along, time to catch up!
We totally understand that "life" happens and sometimes sewing time throughout the week gets put on the back burner. NO WORRIES! RBD built in that extra week each month just for those little life realities!
So who's joining in on this weekly block challenge? I'd LOVE to see pictures of your blocks too. Snap a quick pic and send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I can't wait to see them!
Oh, and DON'T forget to use the HASHTAG
so we can all follow along and see your progress too!
Happy RBD Block Challenge Sewing!
