The Results are IN! Part 1

Posted by Gerri Robinson on

A few weeks ago we sent a survey out to our wonderful newsletter subscribers to find out more about all of you! If you are not receiving our newsletters click HERE to subscribe! We promise to only send you fun, beautiful things and exclusive deals.

I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who took the survey and share some of the results with you!

For all 22% of you who are advanced quilters looking for more intricate and challenging patterns- I have the perfect thing!

My Shadow Stars and Twinkling Stars pattern is perfect for those looking for a challenge! It has two quilt designs in one pattern!

For the 10% of you who are beginners, welcome to your new favorite hobby! Quilting is so much fun and it is so fulfilling to create something beautiful with your own two hands. That being said, everyone has to start somewhere. I always recommend starting with a quilt pattern that is pre-cut friendly so you can spend less time cutting and more time sewing!

Celine is Fat Quarter friendly and a great place to start!

Pathways is perfect for a 5" Stacker! It doesn't get more simple than squares, but Pathways makes a stunning quilt.

You can click HERE and HERE to read other blog posts that show you more pre-cut friendly patterns!

For the majority of you who are "somewhere in between", you are in luck! The majority of my patterns are designed especially for you!

Criss Cross Stars and Starlights is one of my 'Two designs in One' patterns and incorporates basic quilting elements like Half Square Triangles, Flying Geese and Square-in-a-Square blocks. If you need a refresher course on these click HERE.

These patterns showcase Gem Stones, my new fabric from PSD2!

Whirly Blooms is another new pattern that is great for all of you advanced beginners. It is a lovely, floral inspired pattern with big pieces to showcase your favorite fabrics!

I was not at all surprised by the results of this question and it mirrors my own design style. The vast majority of you said you prefer a traditional style with some modern elements.

My Rustic Romance book is perfect for blending modern and traditional quilting style! This book has four different quilt patterns and features my Rustic Romance fabric collection. P.S- it is on sale right now!!

For those of you who voted mostly traditional you'll want to check out my Casual Classic Quilts book

As it says in the title, the designs you'll find in this book are classic

I love displaying these quilts in my home.

For those of you who want all modern all the time, I have some options for you!

MOD-ified Quilts! I have taken some of my designs and made them up in all solids (Confetti Cottons from Riley Blake Designs) giving them a completely modern look! You can find all the information, fabric requirements, and pattern details for MOD-ified quilts HERE.

We also have the perfect fabric collection to blend with a Modern style- Gem Stones! Click HERE to shop this collection.

Whew, this was a close one! Looks like you like both kinds of patterns. Luckily, at Planted Seed Designs, we offer most patterns in both PDF and Physical form.
